FAQs
Is a permanent nanny right for me?
A permanent nanny is the right choice for your family if:
- You need a nanny on a regular or fixed schedule (e.g., weekdays from 2 PM to 6 PM for school pick-up and dinner).
- You want to work with the same trusted nanny long-term.
- You’re prepared to hire and pay your nanny directly, as they won’t be employed by Nanny P.
If this doesn’t fit your needs, our on-call nannying service offers flexible, short-term, or occasional care whenever you need it.
Do you offer a guarantee?
What's the fee for this service?
For long-term, full-time* placements of 1+ year: We typically charge a one-time commission of 8% of your nanny’s annual salary for the first year. Please note, if you choose not to proceed with our services at any point during the process, we apply a non-fulfillment fee. This may be requested as an upfront retainer.
*Full-time is considered 30 hours per week or more.
For short-term** (<1 year) or part-time placements: A flat fee of $750.
**Short-term is considered 29 hours per week or less.
How does Nanny P help?
I need a part-time nanny on a regular basis. Do I book an on-call nanny or should I hire a permanent nanny?
It depends. If your needs go beyond occasional nanny bookings, you may start to consider a family nanny. Family nannies are ideal for long-term or consistent arrangements like fixed weekly schedules. It’s important to note that by hiring a family nanny, you are contractually taking on a member of staff and will employ your nanny yourself. This means paying them a salary or hourly wage ongoingly.
If you’re unsure about a permanent commitment and still want to keep things flexible or short-term, our casual on-call nannying services are always available! With on-call nannying, we can still accommodate regular schedules on fixed days, if needed. Contact us to discuss your unique needs.
